I've had my macbook for a good 2-3 years. I put in a movie and heard it vibrating and clicking. It then started to make a noise and got louder and louder like it was going to explode. I searched some forums and someone said that it means your hard drive is dying. What do you think it is? should I go into Apple and have them look at it?

If you put a movie in and that happens, it is probably the drive mechanism
failing. Buy a replacement superdrive for it. You can score a replacement off
Ebay pretty cheap. Or check:

Look for your make n'*model there skipper.
Also try "cleaning" the drive first with an aftermarket dvd/computer dvd drive cleaner from.. walmart
or something.

Where do I buy a superdrive from? how much does it cost? do you still think I should go to the Apple store?
