macbook isight

I notice that every few times i power up my macbook that the isight green light comes on. This depletes my battery quicker than normal (as if the camera was actually on) And when this happens i am unable to run photobooth, quicktime video recorder or ichat video chat. I get a response that the camera is in use. I've noticed that others have had similar problems. Is there a fix for this?

You don't happen to have a widget on your dashboard that utilises the camera do you? I recall having the same problem and that was the culprit.

no widgets that use the camers, only a calculator, calender and clock.
