So I was just surfing the net when my keyboard and trackpad stopped working. I'm only on here by the grace of a wireless keyboard and a mouse plugged in through the USB.

Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? If I have to go to Apple to take care of it, does anyone know the cost estimate? I don't have warranty (ended June 8th 2008) or AppleCare.

Thanks in advance

it will cost 280 dollars to fix without applecare. 100 dollars for parts and 180 for labor. That's the flat rate charge. Hopefully you won't have to do that.

Replace it yourself. It is pretty easy. It cost me about $130. Try etechparts.com, ifixit.com, or powerbookmedic.com for the parts, and details on replacing it.
