Macbook keyboard haywire after cleaning keys

I got this message from a family member running Yosemite on a Macbook Pro:

" i pressed several letters while cleaning it and now keyboard not working properly. i go to finder my documents or ms word on the dock and it just wont open. control and arrow right used to take me to desktop. now its control right. from google i just clicked on keynote down below and it opened. now i have to scroll using control left !!!!"

Anyone know how to solve this?
