Hey! This is my first post to these forums, I hope you'll be kind
. Anyways I've been having some trouble with my mac book. It's an early 2008 13" mac book (the white one) 160Gb drive 4gigs of ram and 2.4 dual core processor.
So my wife spilt some liquid on the keyboard so we shut it down as quick as we could, and I took it apart after cleaning it up some. The soup didn't get inside past the keyboard, and the computer boots and runs fine with an external mouse and keyboard, but the built in one was shot. So I ordered and new one and I made sure to double check for liquids on the inside again an wiped it all down with alcohol for good measure. The thing is that the keyboard and track pad work when I hook it up but don't re-attach it to the body, but as soon as I screw the chasis back together it stops responding within 2 minutes. I've tried this about ten times now, it works when it's plugged in loosely but not screwed down, but stops working once I put it back together. Could there be something that is getting grounded by a screw? What do you guys think? I'm hoping to get it running again so I can sell it but this thing is driving me nuts!! Any help or suggestions are much appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
