First post on here and its a pretty important question. I purchased a SSD for my Macbook late 2009 2.26ghz and I'm going to back up with Time Machine. Once I got it backed up and I install the new SSD and I boot the computer up what do I do from there? If i don't have the OS Disk can I put this http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1433 onto a thumb drive and install the OS that way? Im just confused about boot up right after installation. Is there any specific things I have to do?
Or just clone your drive to external hd or thumb drive using superduper (free) or carbon copy....then just boot from external drive (hold down alt/option key) then clone that drive back to new ssd...
