So for the past few months I've been debating over whether or not to buy a new computer or just upgrade the components in my current, early 2008, white Macbook.

I've decided to upgrade the components myself and so far have installed 4GB of RAM and an 80GB Intel G2 SSD.

I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade my LCD using a replacement screen from the new Macbooks ... the LED screen would look SO much better than the pathetic screen that I currently have.

With these updates (minus an upgraded processor), it would put me almost up to par with the current line of Macbooks/Macbook Pros.

Has anyone attempted this?

Too complicated and possibly expensive to be worth it.

I really don't think the new screens will fit as you would have to (possibly) change too many components as well.
