I've been thinking about buying an iPad 2 and going caseless... but I don't like the idea of the back getting completely scratched up when I set it places.

You know those black circular bumpers on the back of MacBook Pros and Airs... What if they had those for iPads?

Has anyone seen this before, or have any do-it-yourself ideas that wouldn't end up sloppy or unappealing?

I think it's an interesting concept, what about you?

Yes it is, and I had the same complaint, have lots of glass tables in my house, and it was awful feeling setting down that metal case.

I went the ZAGG Leatherskin route, and love it. Look, feel, minimalistic is still very premium.

Obviously covers more than what your looking for, but worth considering.
