My MacBook lineout jack became faulty and then stopped working a couple years ago, and I was past warranty. I bought a USB device that I can plug my headphones into, but I lose it a lot. I'm now in the airport getting ready to go overseas for three months, and just realized I left my USB device in my car, which is gone now... I have an iPod however.

Can I somehow route the audio in my laptop through my iPod, as it's plugged into my MacBook? Surely there's an app for that!

Try audioin, it connects through wifi though.

He would need speakers that are connected to the network for audioin to work.

@OP- I have never heard of anything remotely similar to what you are looking for. I think your best bet would be to try to find another adaptor.

Failing that, do you have a friend/ family member who has access to your adapter and could retrieve it and mail it to you?
