Hi all, have a technical question I can't seem to find an answer too. My sister recently spilled some sort of liquid on her 13" Macbook (early 2008). The logic board is fried and Apple denied the warranty repair (for obvious reasons). There is noticeable corrosion on the board in several places.
My question is, can I replace the Early 2008 board with something slightly older, I'm able to find logic boards for a couple hundred dollars, much less than the $900 Apple wanted to fix it, but the boards are for the Late 2006-Late 2007 Models. I'm looking to replace it with a Mid-Late 2007 Model logic board at 2.0 GHz but didn't know if all the connectors would match up.
If anyone knows or has had any experience doing this I appreciate any advice. Thanks.
