Hello all,

I am considering buying a new laptop, and am already certain it will be an apple one.

Untill today I wanted a macbook pro, because it was just great, a bit too good even. But now I saw Logic Studio comes out and I will switch from Cubase to Logic entirely with this move.

Now of course that's an extra 500 bucks, that I don't have. So I was thinking of buying the Macbook (the white one with 120Gig and with extra ram to have 2gig) and the Logic Studio together, which is the same price for me as just a new macbook pro (Student diuscount included).

Seeing as the ONLY purpose the laptop is for is Music production, can somebody tell me how they do (with 2GIG of Ram of course) with Logic? How do they perform? For example my current PC (yes PC) has only 2Gig of Ram, and one of the first X2 processors at 1.8Ghz each, and it runs smooth as an icetrack with a lot of programs open, audio pumping, and even combined with a game (purely for stress test, I don't game on the laptop, ever).

Thank you very much!

Logic will run fine on your macbook. Food for thought, though:

IMHO it would be worth it to go ahead and save a little more for the MBP. The included extra ram, hard drive and screen space of the 15" will make the experience much nicer.
