Ok, here the deal.

My school has the revision A models of the MB on sale for $949. Intel Core 2 Duo 2.16, 2 GB RAM, 120 GB HDD. If i buy that i will have $500 left out of the $1500 saved up. I can buy a 500 GB time capsule, an iPod and a new stereo for my car to connect to my iPod.

On the other hand, if i buy a MBP, i would have to buy a refurbished one from the apple store online.

What i need it for:

Web Browsing
Designing eBay auctions on Garage Sale
Making some home movies(very seldom)
Browing the internet(youtube etc)
Writing essays for school(Word)
Managing Finances(Excel or Numbers)

So what would you do???

Well, doesn't look like you are really going to do anything out of the ordinary, so if I were you I would just go for the MacBook with all the goodies :D Unless you just want the MBP for the larger screen?

well your not going to be doing anything hardcore with video edting/grafixs..the macbook will do just fine for your needs..but that depends if you want a bit bigger screen go with pro ..

i was looking at macbook pro aswell but i dont need that grafix/video..just basic stuff ..:D:apple:
