I have a 27" UHD external display and a 16" Macbook M1 Pro. Until today, the extended display settings worked correctly. Today, however, my Mac thinks my 27" display is slightly smaller than its 16" display. This is evident from the Displays preferences as well as my mouse behavior when navigating between them.

There doesn't seem to be anything incorrect about my resolutions, which are both set to using the default resolution for the display. I've restarted the Mac, but this did not help. What's going on?

Weird. the 27" probably has a lower resolution right? If so, it seems somehow the Retina vs. non-Retina comparison got messed up.

The 16" MBP is 3456×2234. UHD is 3840×2160. But what matters are the HiDPI resolutions, default being 1728×1117 for the MBP and 1920×1080 for UHD.
