When I ran geekbench on my new m7 MacBook the score was quite low despite no other program was running. And strangely, geekbench reported that one core in my m7 is only at 1.2GHz. Pic below. Any idea? Thanks

If you had just been running something else processor intensive before GeekBench, it could have been throttling. As for why it reported the base clock as 1.2GHz, it is likely because that is the base speed of the "stock" Core m7. Apple has boosted the base speed to 1.3GHz.
