Hi there,
If i bought an Apple Laptop, and hooked it to an external Monitor, to turn it on, would i have to open up the laptop to press it on or on an apple Keyboard, there is a button you can press?

yes you would have to open the laptop and press the power button.

but why would you use the laptop closed with a display anyway?. if you use extended desktop mode you can have two screens! then you can just press the power button to shutdown/boot while already open.

but you shouldnt really have to shutdown a mac all the time. OS X is stable enough to run months on end. just use sleep as it uses hardly any power and you can start where you left off instantly.

there is no power button on the apple keyboard but the keyboard shortcuts command-option-eject and command-option-eject will sleep and restart OS X respectively.
