I'm having a problem with the magsafe adapter for our Core Duo Macbook. I've done a search and it seems that most folks have the opposite problem.

Anyways, our magsafe works and charges the MB just fine. The problem is that when we remove the magsafe from the MB, the light does not turn off. It'll stay green or amber, depeding on whether the MB was fully charged or not when the magsafe was removed.

If I unplug the adapter from the wall, the light will turn off after a few seconds.

I can't quite remember the behavior of the light, but I just noticed it the other day and struck me as odd.

Can anyone confirm if their light stays on after removing from a MB, but still plugged in the wall?

Thanks.

my light turns off once removed from my mb

Thanks for the quick confirmation.

I guess I'll take it into the Apple Store to see if they can replace it. I get a little nervous with these things ... don't want to burn the house down over a thing as silly as a power adapter.

Yeah if you have a warranty they should just exchange the adapter.
