Interesting. It seems everything except the MBA cannot be ordered online and shipped, but most BB stores (at least in my area) have stock. Maybe update day is coming sooner than I thought!

Just checked online:

Black MB and white 2.0ghz MB: backordered 1-2 weeks / Available at most stores

White 2.2ghz MB: Usually leaves our warehouse in 1 business day/ Available at most stores

17'' and 15.4'' 2.2ghz MBP: Usually leaves our warehouse in 1 business day/ Available at most stores

15.4'' 2.4ghz MBP: Sold out online / Available at most stores

Most stores I called here in South Africa are on back orders on all models, some aren't even ordering more stock until further notice.

No. Intel announced the "Merom" chips will be discontinued, and no longer shipping.. sometime in 2009

Looks like the base MBP is backordered again. Probably dug up the last one somewhere and someone bought it

I was at a Best Buy yesterday and they still had all three models of the MBP's, though stock was significant low.
