Hey guys, so this is probably a stupid question. but i have a 2.4 ghz macbook and i have 2gb of memory. what is the max i can upgrade that to? i want to because i do a lot with logic, and it is a CPU hog. ive heard 3gb, and 6gb. can someone just tell me so i know? thanks so much.

well, i would check but it is gutted on my kitchen table at the moment, i broke my upper case cable. but its silver so its the later of the 2 models i know that. what else do you need to know?

awesome, thanks so much, and ive been a PC user until last august and never had to open my macbook up, but now i am wondering something, does mac memory not have to match up? like you can do a 2gb an a 4 gb?

You can do 2Gb and 4Gb. But remember, there will be a small speed decrease because it won't run in dual channel mode.

I went to buy memory and it looks like the non unibody macbooks can only take 6 gb of RAM, that's what i have. I was going to buy 8 gigs, but is anyone sure ii can use it.
