I would like to program an app on the iphone which can communicate with macbook through bluetooth.

According this link the device must be "MFI" compliant to work with bluetooth. But I can't find a list of MFI-compliant devices.

Does someone know wether the macbook is MFI compliant, and if so where can I find the documentation to communicate with the macbook via bluetooth?

MFI is a program for hardware manufacturers to make their own accessories. You MacBook is not part of that. There is not way to use the Bluetooth for generic data transfer between a computer and the phone (without Jailbraking). Use WiFi instead.
