I recently purchased a Macbook for my significant other. I started it up and followed the instructions linking the old iMac with the new macbook. It did its thing transferring data until the last minute. It is stuck saying "less than a minute remaining and finishing installing application support." This was stuck for 12 hours only transferring 30 gigs of data. After this happening the first time I forced quit and I did a clean install of OSX including all of the updates to take all of the software to the current 10.5.2. I then tried the migration assistant again inside OSX in a dummy account with the same result.
I noticed some threads on this matter but noting definitive. I really do not want to click and drag stuff across if I do not have to.
