Macbook "Not Charging"

Hey everyone,

I have a black macbook. Had it for about 2-3 years now.. I noticed it says not charging next to the battery and the charger is not plugged in.. When I do plug the charger in, it does charge normally. Why does it say not charging and the screen keeps blinking. Thanks for any help!

Have you tried taking the battery out and reseating it? Sometimes, that's all it takes and there's just a weird connection somewhere.

yes ive tried taking out the battery several times.. still says it when i power it back on. any other suggestions? thanks!
