Hi there.

I recently purchased a caddy to enable me to replace the optical drive with a second hard drive.

However, the caddy appears to get power OK (it has a blue LED), but it doesn't detect any drives (I've tried several hard drives in it, including my OS X boot drive), this is in Finder, Startup Manager, System Profiler (This computer doesn't contain any ATA devices. If you installed ATA devices, make sure they're connected and powered on.), and Disk Utility.

So I was wondering if anyone might have any ideas, as far as I'm concerned, it should just show up in at least disk utility? but I thought I'd check to see if there is anything else I could try.

Thanks :)

Hello,

I have also this problem since some days. Don't know why ... I have only solved it when I unplug the battery for some hours.
