MacBook not going to sleep after screen was replaced.

I just replaced the screen in my A1181 MacBook and since I've put it back together, the screen won't turn off and the computer wont sleep when I shut it. I can put it into sleep mode and it works, but I would love to be able to close it as not have to worry about the screen shutting off. If anyone knows how this works or has had it happen to them, I would greatly appreciate any information you may have to share.

There is a small magnet halfway down the lefthand side of the screen which operates the sleep-switch when you close the lid.

It is not unusual for the magnet to fall out when the screen is replaced.

If you remove the screen bezel on the left-hand side you may be able to see that the magnet is not there...

Thank you for your help. I was able to locate the magnet and it is working perfectly now.
