MacBook not seeing Pandigital PAN70-0

My mother wants to transfer my grandma's photos to Mom's computer from Grandma's photo frame. The photo frame says "PC connected", but it doesn't show up in Finder. However, every now and then, the computer says "Disk Not Ejected Properly", even though nobody is ejecting anything.
