Hi all, my girlfriend is having trouble with her 13" aluminum Macbook (not MBP)

She's over in Adelaide at uni, so I can't help her in person.

Here's what she told me:

Well, the first time I opened it, it opens as usual, but suddenly showed the graphic line with no pictures on the screen.

Then I tried to shut it down, but it didn't want to shut down. So, I decided to take off the battery and plug it again, and this time it produces beep sounds. Even though I took off the battery, I still can hear the beep sounds.

I sent her this link: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1365

But she said that wasn't quite the problem she was having.

Does anyone have any ideas? The computer is definitely less than a year old, so if it needs to be fixed, she should be able to take it to an authorized replair center...is anyone here from Adelaide, who might know where a service center is?

Thanks for any help!
