Hello folks,

i am on a island far from any mac help so just wandering if I could turn to you all

when logged on today screen suddenly went grey from top to bottom and I was told to re-start the computer. Since then my macbbok is not game. Makes the starting noise and the wee white light comes on but thats it! screens blank.

laptops about 3 years old. 10.5.8 i think.

Be good to get it working again

If you can help that be perfect.

computer not booting up

Hello,

Realy thanks very much for your help. I tried the folowing until I needed my start up discs. I think its something serious. No joy. After hitting the power button wee light comes on and some fan like sounds, then it switches itself again and tries to start up again, wee light stays on till you do a manual shut down.

Looks like no computer for work for the next few months.

I'll go and draw the iguanas instead.

many thanks.
