MacBook not visible on network

Hi, i am trying to get remote desktop to work on my mac to remote control my XP Machine.
But my mac isen't visible on the work group so i can't add it as a remote account.

Sorry forgot all the details:

I have a network with a timemachine witch provides wireless connection for my mac, and 2 windows pc's who is connected with cable.

Please help!! i've been trying all kinds of diffrent thing..

same problem. 2011 MBP and 2009 iMac 24" all running 10.6.7 with latest updates. suddenly they can't see each other :-(

what's broken ? bug in 10.6.7 ? also W7 laptop on the network. all was working fine 2 weeks ago.

I hope you using Microsoft's Remote Desktop Connection application? Are you in the same subnet (same local network)?
