hi i recently just purchased a macbook v4.1 2.4ghz 2gb ram 160gb hard-drive.
I am planning on using it as my desktop as well. i have a usb hub connected which has my external hard-drive and my wired apple keyboard. My macbook is also displaying on my dell 2407 screen.

I am wondering what notebook/laptop cooler do you recommend i should get? As well do you recommend keeping a macbook on overnight just running torrents as i frequently do this everynight

thanks

I've encoded video for 48 hours and I've never used a cooler. That's much harsher then file transfers.

ok that sounds very hopeful

thing is my desktop i always kept running 24/7...
do u think it would be bad to do so for a macbook...

There's nothing wrong having it run 24/7. I've pushed my MacBook quite hard and hot for long periods of encoding. It's working just fine. ;)

I also used to compile or encode for days without stop and never had a problem. If you place the MB on a rigid surface you should be fine.
