ok heres what happens I have hasd my macbook about a week and about twice its not turned back on after shutdown and then when it does comes up with an error message mac os x has quit unexpectedly and I have had to force quit once(is not a big issue but i think i wouldnt need to because youguys are all like mac os x is so stable) and one other thing sometimes it rejects my CD's but accepts thewm later?

would a re-install help or is it the hardware itself?

No offence, but seriously, proofread that. It took me a long time to piece it together. Reset the PRAM, run the hardware test, and if it still does it, take it to an Apple Store.

I don't think a reinstall would help, but might be worth trying.:)

sorry about that...I do not know how to do what your talking about but...my question is could it be because of 3rd party ram?
