Macbook Online specials - promotions - when to buy

When is the best time to buy a Macbook? I've looked at macprices.net and the prices are fairly competitive. Does Apple ever put Macbook's on sale? Are there better promotions at certain times of the year? Black friday, etc?

On black friday apple offers them $100 less. Also look for the refurbs they're great machines they test them multiple times, have the same warranty, also come in mint condition. the only bad thing for some people is that it comes in a brown box.
