Basically, I have a late 2006 black MacBook that I want to tell, but I want to be sure that the computer is in good health. Everything SEEMS to work fine. However, whenever the computer wakes up from sleep, you hear the optical drive move as if it is taking in a disk. It plays disks fine. I created a Lion install disk to reinstall Lion over everything, and it worked fine.

Should I be worried? Is this a common issue for older MacBooks? Should I list the MacBook as fully functional? Is there anything I can do to "test" the health of my MacBook's hardware components? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
