MacBook Optical Drive Issues

Hi,

I tried to burn 2 CD's yesterday and the first one worked great, but when I went to burn the second CD it just finished straight away. iTunes showed a message saying the burn failed and the device failed to respond. This has happened with iTunes and Toast when trying to burn to a CD-R, however, it worked fine when I burnt a DVD.

Has anyone come across this or have any ideas of how I can fix it?
