Macbook Original/Yamaha MG10/2 can show me how?

Ok hello.

I want to recored some music for a friend and i know other ways but he has a Yamaha MG10/2 mixer and i have a macbook first gen. Now does anyone know how to hook the mixer up to the mac to record into GarageBand or any other free app? Thank you!

Plug it in. From what Google tells me, that's all you should need to do.

oh, well does it still let me do multi track recording even if it is just though audio cables? because it doesn't have usb or firewire.
