Macbook Overheating Question

I got my macbook(2.4ghz, 2gb ram) about a year ago and was wondering if keeping it at 6200 rpm pretty much all day all the time will kill it. It's always on my desk and I shut it off at night. Kind of a noob question but I just don't know.

Disassemble.

There's no need for it to be on 6200 all the time.

There is little need for playing with the fan. If it was meant to be at that setting all the time then it would have been set so before you purchased it.
