ok i have a apple mini DVI to VGA adapter when i plug it to my monitor it only shows the desktop wallpaper and when i move the mouse fast from my macbook i can see it move on the monitor and when i open system prefs it show up on the monitor but all otheres dont work only show up on my macbook
the monitor came with a cd i put it in but didnt work but it did work for my pc..

shouldnt this be a plug and play or its the setting that i need to do in my macbook itself?

this is my monitor specs:
HP monitor
DVI-D with HDCP and VGA inputs

thanks
