So I was just on Wikipedia, and typed in Macbook. As I was reading along I noticed something odd..

"Overview
The MacBook features a widescreen 11.3" TFT display with a 800x600 resolution. Input and output ports include VGA and built-in 10BASE-T. Sound capabilities include built-in stereo speakers and headphone audio out. The MacBook uses a TrackPoint. Its hard disk is protected by a Sudden Motion Sensor.

The MacBook is pre-loaded with System 7, which includes QuickTime, QuickDraw 3D, co-operative multitasking, a full-color user interface, and the revolutionary network protocol, AppleTalk. A free 30-day trial of the popular Macintosh software suite, AIDS, is also included."

Guess this is a reason why one should never trust wikipedia?

Edit: looks like its been corrected. i got a good laugh out of it though. System 7.. *shudders*

Heh - classic.

This is why Wikipedia is so much fun.

That's why they should really ban people for a couple days instead of taking their editing priveleges aways. If it gets really bad, then just permanently ban them from Wikipedia.

is the resolution really that low?

Low? 800x600 on an 11" screen is low?

Well I suppose if you've got thousands to spend on a 15" LCD it's low - if you've got loads of money to spend to get you a 1024x768 screen then I guess it would look low.

Yeah, the price of 1024x768 screens is outrageous. I'm sticking to 640x480, no one needs THAT many pixels.

Edit: Haha, I just realized you were refering strictly to 11inch screens. Still, I would have thought they would have a higher standard resolution than that. That'll learn me to read my quotes before posting.

Dude, it was a joke - you're over-thinking.

I was pretending like it was 1992.
