Will Apple raise the price of the Macbook once they switch to Core 2 Duo?

Who knows? Apple does. All we can do is make educated guesses. I'd say that they won't, after all, the macbook is supposed to be the affordable laptop for the normal consumer, where the macbook pro is for the professionals, or those with more money.

I doubt it...the Core 2 Duo chips are coming in at the same price points as the Core Duo chips. So unless they'll be adding other significant features, the prices should remain the same. I'd think they'd be trying very hard to hold the line on pricing.
