Hello all. As you see title says what I’m looking for. I know Apple doesn’t sell anymore for that model batteries. I don’t want to buy cheap fake or bad quality batterie. So what is best 3rd parties manufacture/brand battery? I see one NewerTech Nupower Nd it cost about £100? Can you describe it. Quality, experience etc.

I've only ever bought one after market battery and that was earlier this year. My strategy was to buy it from Amazon in case it was terrible, I could return it. I bought the cheapest one I could find, it was $17. It has been a very pleasant surprise because it has been holding a charge very well and it has performance as good as the Apple OEM battery. Unfortunately I purchased the last one and it isn't in stock any longer.

Check out Amazon and see what the reviews are on the various batteries for sale.

That's the one I'm going to be buying soon, £109 I think it is.

My mid 2012 MacBook Pro's battery is getting old now.

I would say that NewerTech / Nupower have a good reputation and I'd rather go that route than take chance on cheaper and possibly a poorer quality battery which may damage the laptop.

Lots of youtube videos detailing how to replace...... seems really easy (take note about electric static discharge and using a earth strap when opening up your MacBook Pro).

It's whatever you are comfortable with. I'm sure that will work fine for you. Mine is mostly plugged in so the times I've use it on battery it's been good.

Battery replacement is pretty easy. You need a tri wing screwdriver. The battery you buy may include that.
