G'day,

I have a 2010 Macbook Pro 13", and at times the touchpad button is quite frustrating... It will work with a very light touch to click something... but try to drag, and you need to press quite firmly...

Other times it simply doesn't accept a click/drag at all...

Is this at all a user serviceable part? Am gonna guess maybe there's some dirt under there...

cheers

No AppleCare, and it's an intermittent problem... Even if they were willing to care, they'd potentially not see the problem...

So how far down to I have to dig to get to the touchpad and clean it?

Me again.

Could this be a software issue?

It just strikes me as somewhat odd that it's so hit n miss... and perhaps even almost like it's just ignoring you sometimes when you click..

Not to mention, there's been no spills, and there is no crunch/stickiness etc related to the touchpad...

just a thought...?
