Hi
Am new to this site. Anyway i downloaded liquidmac but it wouldnt move. After searching on the internet, i also downloaded seismac, but that said it couldn't find any Sudden Motion Sensors. I looked in terminal and System Profiler and neither of them said anything about a motion sensor. I get no noise when I move my laptop either.

I was wondering if this was just my laptop or do 2011 macbook pro's not have a SMS?

so should i go to an apple store to get it fixed?
will they be able to fix it or will they replace it?

From Apple:

First determine the status of the Sudden Motion Sensor

From the Finder's Go menu, choose Utilities.
In the Utilities folder, open Terminal.
When the command line appears, type sudo pmset -g and and press Return.
Type in the administrator password when prompted and hit Return. This command queries the computer for the current setting of the Sudden Motion Sensor. You can determine the setting by locating the Sudden Motion Sensor entry in Mac OS X v10.4 and later and looking to the right to determine its value. The default setting is "1" (turned on). If the sensor is off the setting will be "0".
