Hello all!
I have a Macbook Pro 13' from 2016 running catalina connected to an LG 38' UltraWide screen via USB-C. I found that since updating to Catalina, the movement of the windows on the desktop is not as smooth as it used to be. I noticed the same in photoshop when working with images. I guess my CPU/GPU are not that powerful.

I was wondering if an eGPU would help? Any experience so far?

Cheers
Giuseppe

An eGPU would definitely help. I have a 13-inch 2016 MBP hooked up to a Radeon RX 580 with 8GB of RAM and everything is very smooth on my external monitors and internal screen.

Yeah it's a great companion to the 13" I have a bunch of friends who game with me that use 2018 MBP 13" alongside eGPU with 560 & 580.

Personally I own a eGPU with RX580 to use on my holidays house when I wanna do side gaming.
