MacBook Pro 13.3" 2009 wifi issue?

If the following was tried to fix the issue of no wifi working..
  • a reinstall of OS was done on
  • usually check done on wifi access with usually troubleshooting software settings
What else could be the problem? Has there been any issues with this model laptop and wifi?
What physical things should i check on this model of laptop?
