Bought a recent MBP 13" and noticed very recently that the Ambient Light Sensor seems to have become too sensitive.
Only in the darkest conditions does the OS allow me to engage the F5 & F6 keyboard illumination controls. Otherwise it will not allow me to turn the keyboard LEDs on. We're talking really low illumination here, sometimes too dark too see my keyboard clearly yet apparently not dark enough for the ALS.

I compared it to my GF's MBP 13" (yeah we both got em..) and there's a clear difference between the two. Her ALS still responds to appropriate levels of illumination, in fact the ambient light has to be very bright in order for her LED keyboard to disengage.

Anyone got any clues here as to why this might have happened?
I know I can control the LED by downloading LabTick but I'm just concerned as to why the ALS would suddenly change like that.
