i got my mac book pro 13" Jan 6th

i have noticed a battery defect but wanted to make sure.

I did get the bestbuy 3yr plan so I can have the computer replaced,

Well what happened was I was watching about 30 min of a movie I started with a 75% battery and ended with a 32% battery and dropping.

is this normal?

thanks for the help!

That's normal unless you're talking about the battery health. Especially if your screen is at full brightness. Calibrate the battery to make sure you are getting the correct percentage. And why did you get the Best Buy protection instead of AppleCare?

Definitely seems plausible. It seems like a rather large drop to me, but i'm pretty sure I've seen those figures on mine before as well..Video sure does eat up some battery.

So it takes 40% of the battery to run 30mins of a moive?

and the screen is at low and the key board backlight is off
