I am thinking about getting a 13 inch macbook to run logic. Audio and midi I/O will be via a firewire interface. I have read ALOT about there being insufficient power coming from the firewire bus to effectively run most firewire audio interfaces. The only solution seems to be using the interface's wall wart, which is not a very good option.

My question is does anyone know if this issue is being addressed by the new macbooks they just released...or if apple has plans to address this at all...I would appreciate any info on this. You guys seem to be very in tune with this sort of thing.

Thanks in advance.
