Hey guys,

my MacBook Pro 13 has a Display issue. You can see the backlight of the screen from... wait for this: the rubber between the aluminum and the bezel. I guess I got unlucky with some kind of uneven rubber lining.

Anyways, I recently called Apple 15 days after receiving delivery of the computer. They told me I could get a new one up to 30 days after delivery. I was surprised by that considering I had missed the original 14 day return window. My question is however, will the replacement unit have been tampered with or be refurbished without them telling me? Or will it have been treated a special way?

Also, if I choose to go in-store (all Apple stores in GA are currently closed), and try to get the whole display swapped out, do any of you know if the display is brand new or taken from a refurbished model?

Also does anyone know how Apple might open up my computer and fix the problem if I bring it in for repair?

Thanks.

This is actually a common issue and can usually only be seen when you have a black image on the screen and brightness is at full blast.

Are you serious? Do you have it too?

Do you have some kind of thread to back this up?
