Hi all,

about a week ago my macbook's trackpad and keyboard started freezing, but after a restart it worked normally for a few hours again. After a day or two, I restarted again, and got the question mark start screen with 3 beeps - ram error. I tried to re-insert the rams, that did not help, so I removed one of the rams, and it worked for a little while. I had to do a restart again, and I only got black screen, the HDD was spinning, and fan was running on full speed. No light on caps lock, so I thought this is a logic board problem most probably.
I took it to an un-authorized service here in Prague, and they told me it is a logic board power supply issue, and can be fixed for around 200 euros. Authorized service would offer a logic board replacement, which would be around 400-450 euros.

My question is: do you think this issue will/will not probably occur again? Does the issue sound like a plausible one (since the HDD and fan is running, both connected to the logic board, there needs to be some kind of power supply working).

Thanks for any advice,
Marian
