MacBook Pro 13" Early 2011 Optibay

I know there's a lot of threads about optibays but I wanted to make sure what I'm getting is correct.

I have a Macbook Pro 13" i5 2.3GHz. System Profiler says....

Is a 9.5mm drive OK?
And would you recommend putting the SSD in the main bay?
Is there anything that needs to be done to the SSD? I was told you need to do something in the terminal?

So are you going to be getting rid of the optical drive and using 2 hard drives?

That's correct. A 1TB HDD and 128GB SSD.
