I'm not a fan of western digital so I'd recommend the seagate. I've always had great luck with seagate and sometimes, I'd have some issues with WD, over the years of my computer usage.

I'm not sure about the 7200.12, I purchased the 7200.4 seagate drive and its been flawless, fast, quiet and tons of space. I'm not quite sure what the difference between the 7200.12 and 7200.4 and if that would be compatible with the MBP. The dimensions are what critical, you need to make sure the form factor is such that it fits in the MB.

Here's the one I got newegg

The Seagate drive is 3.5" (desktop size). Laptops need a 2.5" drive (like the WD in the other link).

Any 2.5" SATA drive will work.
