So, a little while ago I have noticed an issue with my mid 2012 MBP. The display assembly sticks out of the back by about a millimeter, and because of that, in the front it is also recessed by that millimeter. But that's not all. The hinges creak from time to time and also pop quite often. My Macbook is still under warranty, so I could bring it back to the store I bought it from. I'm just not convinced by that place to do anything because the problem would be too "little" for them, probably.

I just wanted to ask if any of you have experienced such a problem and did you get it fixed? How did it go? Has it happened again?

I haven't had personal experience with that issue, but if the Apple Store's not too far out of the way then I would just take it to a Genius and see what they can do about it. If it's a manufacturer's error then it's covered under your warranty.
